Tour Edge Exotics XCG Iron Review

We just received our shipment of the new Tour Edge Exotics XCG Iron. You may not be familiar with the Exotics line from Tour Edge but it really is a tremendous tour level line of golf clubs. This XCG iron complements the driver that was released earlier this year. The iron incorporates the 3DS (Dual Density Dampening System) that other manufacturers have had recent success with. The greatest thing about this 3DS system is that it is progressive. The 3-6 iron has a firmer feel while the 7-PW has a softer feel for closer shots around the green. I was really impressed with that attention to detail. After hitting the iron, I was very impressed with the thin top-line that the club offers. The club is offered with either the Dynamic Gold High Launch Shaft or the Popular Project X Shaft. I was demoing the club with the Project X 6.0 which is what I have in my Titleist ZB Forged Irons. Tour Edge has also taken an extra attempt to attract the low handicap players by adding a Tour style beveled leading edge and Tour grind sole. This is something that will bring some of the better players away from their Pings and Titleist clubs!

Tour Edge has done it again. I’ve always been a firm believer in using the big name iron clubs but when a friend suggested I try one his Tour Edge clubs, I’d admit I was hesistant at first but after trying one of his XCG irons, it was an awakening. I tried some more out and am proud to say that I now play the Tour Edge XCG irons and am never going back.
