Tips for Golf freshers

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

For a beginner, the game of golf can be quite confusing and scary. So here are few initial tips for them.

•    Initially, you cannot expect to perform like a pro. So do not think that investing in expensive equipments will take you to great heights of success. So buy a cheap set and get used to the game. Once you have mastered the art, you can upgrade your equipments.
•    Do not let anyone and every one give you “pearls of wisdom”. There may be people, who do not know anything about golf, guiding you. So get advice from a professional. Your initial period is very crucial. Bad advice can be disastrous.
•    Do not get too stressed. It is important for you to just have fun. The more relaxed you are, the better you can play. This is not an earth shattering event. So you need to be relaxed and cool. It is good to have a competitive spirit but no point making it your lifeline.

Golf is a game where you need to have a cool head and a calm mind. If you can achieve that, then half the battle is won.
