Footjoy Spidr2 Glove

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

I for one will open play a Footjoy glove and for good reason, they are the best golf gloves made in terms of fit, comfort and performance.  I generally always gravitate towards the Sta-Sof models however that may soon change with the introduction of the Spidr2 glove.  The Spidr2 is constructed with Footjoy’s patented Digita Tac Response leather which provides lasting comfort and durability while giving golfers excellent grip and control.  For a customized fit, the Spidr2 features an adjustable strap to improve the fit in the palm.  The Powernet mesh creates cool comfort while improving the fit and breathability.  And if all these features are not enough, this gloves also features a Fibersof microfiber material along the inside of the fingers that blends flawlessly to offer an amazing fit.  For the price, you will not find a better golf glove, order a couple pair today!!!

Adams Speedline 9064LS Driver

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Currently in their 4th generation, the Adams Speedline drivers have certainly made some waves amongst top touring professionals and serious amateur players and the new 9064LS is their best one yet!  Adams was once again able to improve the aerodymanics qualities of this head and they have claimed to increase carry yardage by an astunding 15 yards.  By creating a head with less drag, golfers will able to achieve a greater amount of clubhead speed.  A deeper face with increased MOI creates a more piercing trajectory which also leads to the massive yardage gains that players are seeing with this new design. Bridgestone xFIXx Golf Balls

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Bridgestone is making great strides in the highly competitive golf ball wars.  And although they will never have the market share that Titleist has, I have a feeling that will eventually become a close second.  Their original golf ball lineup was geared towards more advanced golfers however over the years, they are trying to bridge that gap by providing high performance golf balls for a wide variety of players.  The Treosoft was their first value priced ball and like the rest of their products, it received good reviews but it did not fully compete with other comparable balls on the market in terms of sales and marketability.  Hopefully, that will now change with the introduction of the xFIXx golf ball.  The xFIXx ball is designed for the recreational golfer that wants more distance while still providing a soft feel at impact as well as a soft approach.  The patented low compression core with gradational technology provides the ideal deformation at impact for high launching shots with reduced back and side spin.  The feel and spin of the golf ball is improved by the newly formulated Ionomercover material that is soft as well as durable.  For $20, I do not think you will find a higher performing golf ball.  After trying out a sleeve of the xFIXx it was clear to me that Bridgestone is here to stay and in time they will narrow the gap with their competitors.

Guerin Rife Trinidad Putter

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Since the introduction of the Rife Two Bar putter, Rife putters have had a major following. With the success of the Two Bar model, Rife and company decided to branch out and try their hand at a more classic line of putters. The new for 2010 Trinidad Putter is part of their Island Series which incorporates traditional head shapes that are equipped with their patented RollGroove technology and are crafted from CNC milled 304 stainless steel.  The Guerin Rife Trinidad putter is a take on the classic Anser style head shape introduced in the early 1960’s however this version is center shafted and features a vertical alignment notch.  The Trinidad is only available in 35” lengths and unfortunately for now, only right hand.  The Rife Trinidad was debuted a this year’s Masters Tournament and it was very well received on the practice green.  For the price, you will not find a putter that rolls the ball this well while still delivering excellent feel and sound.

Fairway Fan

Friday, August 20th, 2010

I for one do not enjoying golfing on really hot days and this August has been brutal so far.  Therefore, my golf game has taken a turn for the worse for the last couple weeks.  Since I do not want my handicap to keep going up, I have been trying to find a way to be more comfortable on the course on those 90+ days.  So far I have tried everything from microfiber shirts, light colored shorts, and even a sun hat but I can’t seem to get comfortable.  However, this all changed last week when I purchased the Fairway Fan from our shop.  The Fairway Fan may be the best golf accessory to be developed yet.  The Fairway Fan easily mounts to the any sturdy surface on your golf cart and the fan is powered by the golf carts battery.  Simply clamp it on, connect the clips, and bask in the breeze!  Be sure to act quickly if you want a Fairway Fan we are already close to selling out of our first shipment!

Ping S56 Irons

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

To be honest, I was very skeptical of Ping’s first blade release but after playing a set of S59 irons for a season, I was convinced that they were on to something.  What was thought by many to be a foolish move for Ping to move into the blade market, mainly due to the fact that the irons would not be forged, many top amateurs and professional golfers gravitated toward their progressive design.  After a few years of feedback, Ping’s latest blade design, the S56, is their best effort yet. Taylormade Daytona Ghost Putter

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Taylormade’s design philosophy was simple with the Ghost models: Create a putter that is super easy to square up to the intended line.  Engineers at Taylormade worked closely with an expert in the field of color to design a putter that helps alleviate the strain on your eyes when looking at the top line.  The color white is said to have a calming effect and is also thought to inspire confidence. Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Ping has had a huge following with woman golfers since the original ladies Ping Eye 2 Irons and this years Ladies Faith Irons will continue this tradition.  Designed with the average player in mind, the Faith irons are oversized irons with wide soles, progressive offset and thicker top lines that frame the ball nicely at address.  The set is comprised of two hybrids in the longer irons and the more traditional irons from the 7-iron on down.
