Finally, the putter we have all been waiting for! The Taylormade Spider Ghost Putter that has been circulating the tours for the last few months will soon hit the shelves. The Taylormade Spider Ghost Putter is an updated, “ghosted” version of their original spider design. For those unfamiliar with the Spider putter, the concept behind them is pretty simple. Sixty-five percent of all golfers are not square to their intended target line within 12 feet of the hole. The square shape and high MOI design helps to both hide and improve these imperfections. The white finish stands out against the green grass making it much easier to tell if the putter is aligned properly. For a custom fit, the Ghost Spider features moveable weight technology so players can adjust the head weight of their putters based on their personal preferences or the speed of the greens. The new and improved Pure Roll insert gets the ball moving towards the hole quicker and truer when compared to last year’s AGSI insert. This putter was recently used by Y.E. Yang at this year’s US Open and was also used to post the lowest total score ever by an Augusta first timer at the Master’s Tournament. The Spider Ghost Putters are set to arrive early next week, pre-book your new putter today!

Taylormade has re-designed their popular Ghost putters this season and not only did they drop the Rossa name, they changed the AGSI insert for a new surlyn Pure Roll insert that is slight firmer and promotes a truer roll. The Corza Ghost Tour Maranello Putter is a heel shafted mid-mallet design that features three sight lines in order to effortlessly line up putts. I’ll have to admit that I was a bit skeptical of the white finish, but lately I have grown to love it! By working closely with experts in the field of color, Taylormade designed a putter that helps alleviate the strain on your eyes when looking at the top line. The color white is said to have a calming effect on the nervous system that helps inspire confidence where golfers need it most. Besides being a moral boost for that swinging downhill ten-footer, the Ghost finish compliments the golf ball and stands out against the bright green grass which allows golfers to better see the line and whether they are square to it or not. This year’s Ghost Putter line has been one of the most successful putter launches we have seen to date. The Maranello was released in limited quantities early this year however they have already sold out! We are currently taking pre-orders for the next batch to come through and we just received word that they will be shipping soon! Pre-book your new putter today and receive FREE UPS ground shipping!!

The Corza Ghost Center Shaft putter features a mid-sized mallet head with the golf ball alignment hole as well as a single sight line in order to effortlessly line up putts. Looking for a new putter with the latest insert technology but don’t want to break the bank? If so, check out the new Taylormade Est. 79 classic putters. The Est. 79 is Taylormade’s only non-Ghost putter line a features a dark, satin finish that frames the ball nicely at address. These classic putters putters are free of any frills and for many tech junkies, they have been deemed as boring. However, the new surlyn Pure Roll insert is anything but. For years, Taylormade has been trying to develop an insert that promotes a truer roll by decreasing backspin and skid at impact and the Pure Roll insert does this flawlessly. We just got these putters in our shop and I tested the Est. Classic Indy Putter and after a few putts, I didn’t want to let it go. The insert is firm and responsive at impact and the balls comes off the face consistently every putt. My only complaint regarding the Classic Indy is the weight. This putter would feel so much better if the head was around 350-360 grams like many of its competitors. Odyssey, Nike, and Titleist are all putting out putters with a heavy option and I think it is time for Taylormade to do so! But for those that do not demand a heavier putter, I would definitely check Classic lineup out!
The 2nd generation of Ghost Putters are here! Taylormade has re-designed their popular Ghost putters this season and not only did they drop the Rossa name, they changed the AGSI insert for a new surlyn Pure Roll insert that is slight firmer and promotes a truer roll. The Ghost Tour Daytona is a classic heel-toe weighted blade and like all Taylormade products, it sets up wonderful behind the ball. I’ll have to admit that I was a bit skeptical of the white finish, but I have grown immune to it after the R11 and Burner Superfast 2.0 release and I actually like it now! The Taylormade Ghost Tour Daytona putters are in stock and ready to ship!!!
For those looking for a quality putter at a lower price point, I would definitely check out the new Taylormade Est. 79 Classic Putters. The Est. 79 Classic Maranello is a heel shafted, flanged blade putter that helps promote a true in-to-in putting stroke. This classic putter design has been used by a wide variety of touring professionals and top amateurs because of the classic look and the responsive feel. For the most part, Taylormade’s take on this design is pretty good and I find that the newly patented Pure Roll surlyn insert feels great at impact and gets the ball rolling on the correct path with very little skid or drag. My only complaints would be the boring finish and a lack of weight in the head. However, when it comes to performance, this putter over-delivers, especially for the price!
Putting has always been the worst part of my game and I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the Taylormade TR3 True Path Putting Trainer. The Taylormade Putting Lab has spent years studying the putting strokes of the game’s best players to determine their common errors as well as their best techniques. Lab tests have shown that most advanced players have a stroke that is no more than two degrees either inside or outside the line and the most successful putting strokes are either straight back and straight through or slightly arched from open to close. TR3 True Path putter trainer helps develop what Taylormade engineers believe to be the easiest and most natural putting stroke, a slight arched path that that flows from open to close. The TR3 will provide consistency in the putting stroke path, instant feedback on putter face alignment, improved muscle memory for proper putting tempo, as well as visual and audible feedback on putting path flaws. If you are having trouble on the greens, I highly recommend the Taylormade TR3 True Path Putting Trainer. There is a reason many touring professionals trust this device over any other putting aid on the market, it works!!!
Given the success of the Ghost putters, Taylormade decided to give the white driver a go in 2011. The new R11 features a ghost white crown as does the new Burner Superfast 2.o. So far, the response has been overwhelming and after reviewing pictures from this week’s Sony Open, the tour players are fond of the new color scheme as well. The white crown is resistant to glare and when it is paired with the black face, you have a driver that is extremely easy to align. White crown aside, the Burner Superfast also features many new technological advancements when compared to the previous model. For starters, the Superfast 2.o weighs in at a mere 279 grams making it the lightest driver currently on the market. A new head shape with Taylormade’s patented Inverted Cone Technology creates the largest sweet spot of any Taylormade Driver made to date. Pre-order your new driver today for a Mid-February ship date!!!
Okay, I understand. At first glance, I didn’t get it either. But after fully wrapping my head around the concept of the new Taylormade Rossa Ghost Putter, I think I finally get it. Taylormade has once again, pushed the envelope with this new putter release due in most part to the electric white finish featured on the new Ghost Putters. The design is simple: Create a putter that is super easy to square up to the intended line. Engineers at Taylormade worked closely with an expert in the field of color to design a putter that helps alleviate the strain on your eyes when looking at the top line. The color white is said to have a calming effect and is also thought to inspire confidence. (more…)
Designed with input from today’s top professionals, the new Taylormade Monza Spider Vicino Putter is a more refined, cleaned-up version of the original Monza Spider and Monza Itsy Bitsy Spider putters. Many pros loved the performance of the original Spider models yet they couldn’t get past the look at address. So Taylormade set out to create a putter that offered the same stability and roll of the original Spider but with sleeker, more streamlined look. The new Monza Spider Vicino Putter is just that. It is beautifully shaped and cleanly tapered from front to back. Since the technology of Spider was rooted in it’s “ugly” shape, Taylormade engineers had to totally rethink the putter’s design.
