There is one word to describe the new Ping Anser Milled Putters: Incredible! These premium putters are the finest putters that Ping has ever made and I put one in the bag as soon as they hit the door! Milled from select 303 stainless steel, the Anser putters are refined versions of Ping standards that have been in existence for over 40 years. Subtle mill marks on the heel and toe prevent glare at the address position and I find the satin nickel finish to be very visually appealing. There are six different head shapes that are designed for specific stroke types: straight arc, slight arc, and strong arc. With the help of Ping’s new iFit fitting system, the Anser putters have already been huge success at our shop and we have only had them here for three days! Pick one up today, you will not be disappointed.
The Sydney, Ping’s latest high MOI design, just hit the market and after rolling a few putts on our practice green, I am a believer! 40+ years ago, Ping invented the modern day putter and once again, they have set the bar quite high. The Sydney, is Ping’s anser, no pun intended, to Scotty Cameron’s Kombi putter as well as Taylormade’s popular Spider putter. The Sydney is made of high-grade lightweight aluminum that contains three 8-gram tungsten weights for maximum forgiveness and optimal center of gravity position. Besides the crisp feel, the Sydney’s greatest strength is it’s ability to resist twisting so putts stay on line from the moment of impact. The symmetrical shape and extreme perimeter weighting gives this putter an extremely high MOI. A distinctive red alignment bar arches from the top line of the face to the back portion of the head for easy alignment and provides a square, balanced top-down appearance at address. I’ll admit that this putter takes some getting used to, but once you start draining putts does the look really matter? The Ping Sydney is available to ship now and is offered in both right and left hand!
Budget Golf is excited to announce one of our best deals ever! Until the well is dry, we will be offering full sets of Ping S57 irons for only $499.96. In case you are not familiar with the S57, these blade inspired irons are geared towards the better player who want the ultimate in feedback and control. The small stainless head features a large MOI thanks to a dense tungsten toe weight and a longer hosel. Dual stabilizing bars in the cavity optimize the center of gravity location producing solid feel and distance control. The face and grooves are machined milled to ensure accuracy and the low amount of offset make this club the perfect choice for those looking for the ultimate in shotmaking performance. I have had the pleasure of hitting these irons and they are by far, my favorite iron that Ping has produced since the Eye 2. They have a cult following on the professional tours and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. For those that have been on the fence regarding a new blade purchase, get off it and order a set of S57 irons before it is too late!
To be honest, I was very skeptical of Ping’s first blade release but after playing a set of S59 irons for a season, I was convinced that they were on to something. What was thought by many to be a foolish move for Ping to move into the blade market, mainly due to the fact that the irons would not be forged, many top amateurs and professional golfers gravitated toward their progressive design. After a few years of feedback, Ping’s latest blade design, the S56, is their best effort yet. (more…)
The 2010 Ping Lineup has been a huge hit for us so far this season but we felt that the line was lacking in a pure game improvement iron set. Well that certainly has changed thanks to Ping’s new multi-material iron set that is geared for the higher handicap golfer looking to maximize their shotmaking abilities. The K15 iron set is comprised of both hybrids and irons for increased forgiveness. Golfers will enjoy the hybrid longer irons due to the higher launch angle and the wider sole will allow for greater club to ground contact. (more…)
Impressed with the G15 Driver, but still want some more forgiveness? If so, I would definitely check out the new K15 Driver. An elongated head shape and an external weight pad positions the center of gravity very low and deep in the club head for drives that launch higher, carry farther, and roll longer. Ping engineered the K15 with Straight Flight Technology which helps promote natural club head rotation by concentrating 10% of the head mass towards the heel of the club. (more…)
Finally, a Ping putter with an adjustable weight system! Ping historically has lead the way for bringing new putter designs to the market however they have dragged their feet with movable weight technology. The new Ping iWi series of putters is Ping;s first putter featuring adjustable weights that allows golfers to adjust the head weight of the putter. Each putter in the iWi series comes standard with two 12 gram stainless steel sole weights, however there is a weight kit sold separately that gives golfers up to 9 different configurations to fit your stroke or weight preference.
