I was able to check out Adams Golf’s new Speedline Super XTD Fairway Wood over the weekend at a local demo day and I walked away very impressed! This may be the perfect fairway wood! The Speedline Super XTD Fairway Wood sets up very clean at address and the face depth inspires confidence from both the fairway and the tee. When compared to the Fast 12 Fairway Wood, the Super XTD features a 14% hotter face thanks to the titanium construction and dual velocity slot technology. Precision milled tungsten heel-toe weighting provides a low center of gravity for increased MOI and higher launch conditions and the forged titanium crown and body increases ball speeds and overall performance. Tour inspired sole geometry improves turd interaction and the premium Mitsubishi Fubuki graaohite shaft provides consistency and a high, piercing trajectory. This Speedline Super XTD is easily the best fairway wood Adams has ever created and it has already made its way into multiple bags on the PGA Tour. In fact, Kenny Perry had to game this club in a 5 wood as opposed to a 3 wood because he hit the 15* too far!

If you are in the market for a forgiving iron set, I would definitely check out Adam’s new A12 OS Iron Set. The A12 OS irons are designed with the mid to high handicap golfer that would like to make the game a little easier. The A12’s biggest attribute would be how easy they are to get in the air and how forgiving they are on miss-strikes. The boost in trajectory and the added forgiveness is made possible by Adam’s patented velocity slot technology which helps take weight away from the face and directs it lower in the club head. This added spring like effect increases the trajectory while reducing the spin rate so golfers should notice a significant distance increase. The A12 OS Iron set is a combo set and comes stock with two hybrids for even greater forgiveness on long approach shots. The A12 OS Irons are available now!!!
I have been a huge fan of Adams Fairway woods over the years and I am very pleased to see they are adding a low profile option to their popular Speedline series. The new Speedline LP Fairway Wood is a low profile version of the F11 fairway. The Speedline LP features the same velocity slot technology that F11 does which helps improve distance by creating a higher launch angle with low spin rates. The lower profile helps get the ball in the air from a wide variety of lies and promotes confidence at address. The Adams Speedline LP Fairway Woods are equipped with the premium Matrix Radix graphite shafts for unparalleled consistency.
It has been a quiet year for Adams so far but hopefully a new driver launch will help stir things up! The new Adams Speedline 9088 UL Driver is first ultra-lightweight driver that is designed to feel perfectly balanced and after checking out a demo last week, I have to agree! Most other lightweight drivers on the market suffer from two problems; they either feel too light altogether and you cannot feel the head at allor it is the exact opposite where you can only feel the head because the shaft is so light. Adams found a way to bridge this gap and created driver that swingweights out at D-0 and weighs only 290 grams!
We just received word that Adams is going to release the prototype blade that many Adams staff players have been playing this season. This long awaited muscleback release is exciting and I cannot wait until our sets arrive at the shop! The MB2 is a traditional muscleback in terms of design however, the MB2 does not have a finish. It is completely raw. Warning! This cold blue raw steel finish will rust over time, but that is a good thing! This raw look not only provides a glare-free look at address, it increases feel and allows for maximum groove volume for higher spin rates. Brass weight plugs in the lower muscle of the iron helps to lower the center of gravity for precise, shot shaping control. The MB2 irons come equipped with the tour-proven KBS Tour steel shafts and are available in either 7 or 8 piece sets.
Once again, Adams Golf continues to impress me! The Tom Watson Black Nickel Wedges have been in the shop for the past couple months and often times they get overlooked. No, they do not say Vokey on them, nor do they look like a CG15, but they shouldn’t and in my opinion, they look a lot better! These wedges demand respect and I think you would be crazy to not give these a go for the price alone. At $69.95, you would be pretty hard pressed to find a better performing wedge on the market. The Watson Black Nickel wedges are classically shaped and feature a grind and shape that was heavily influenced by Tom Watson, one of the best wedge players of all time. These wedges have a deep center of gravity for a controlled flight and the black nickel finish minimizes glare at address. Generous sole widths help prevent the wedges from digging into the turf and the moderate trailing edge and heel grinds make the wedges more versatile from tight lies and sand. The Adams Tom Watson Black Nickel Wedges are available in 11 different loft/bounce combinations and are only available in right hand.
Already purchased the new A12 hybrid? If so, I highly recommend giving the new Idea Pro A12 iron set a look as well!
Check out the latest tour-caliber hybrid design from Adams! The new Idea Pro A12 hybrid is the latest hybrid in a long line of award winning, tour worthy designs. When compared to previous models, the A12 features a hotter face, that is constructed of maraging steel for faster ball speeds and a penetrating trajectory. The sole of the A12 slightly differs from the previous models as well. When compared to Ide Pro Black, the sole of the A12 has a steel skid plate as well as a flush-mounted weight screw that reduces turf interaction for increased playability. The sleek, compact design appeals to the better player and the stealthy black finish frames the ball perfectly in the address position. The Idea Pro A12 Hybrid is offered in a wide variety of lofts and golfers will have the option of two distinct shaft options, the Aldila RIP hybrid prototype shaft or the Matrix Altus hybrid shaft.
Check out the new Adams Golf Redline Iron Set! Adams has once again re-invented the Redline series and what they have is the most forgiving and customizable combination set they have made to date. There are many great combo set options in today’s market however the customer rarely has a choice in the configuration of the set. Already the leader in Hybrid technology, Adams decided to bridge that gap and give the consumer options! Set make-up one consists of seven irons and one hybrid, while set make-up two features two hybrids and six irons. The third and final option which is ultimately the most forgiving, is set make-up three which consists of three hybrids and five irons. Regardless of the configuration you choose, the hybrid to iron transition is flawless and the set flows seamlessly as it progresses. Since distance and playability is the primary concern in the Redline series, the newly designed hybrids deliver faster ball speeds than traditional hybrids thanks in large part to a larger head, thinner face, and longer overall length of club. The tri-level sole design minimizes turf interference for greater playability regardless of the lie and a 45 gram sole weight is placed low and back on the club for improved forgiveness. While much attention has been brought to the Redline hybrids, lets not forget about the Redline irons. The Redline irons feature the best characteristics from the hybrids and they are then incorporated into the iron design for greater distance and forgiveness. For enhanced feel and sound, the Redline irons feature a Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) insert and the cambered sole allows for maximum playability. When compared to one of the hottest sets on the market, the Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0, tests have shown the Redline Irons are at least 3.6 yards longer per club than Burner Superfast 2.0 irons and Redline hybrid is 11 yards longer when compared to the Superfast 2.0 hybrid! Treat yourself to a new set of irons and pre-order your new set of Adams Redline Irons today for a mid-May delivery!
We often times have trouble fitting equipment for teenage golfers. Standard size sets are generally too big and Junior sets are too short and do not have enough clubs. Adams decided to fill this difficult gap with the Idea Teen Golf sets. The sets are available for both boys and girls and are specifically designed to meet the demands of today’s younger players. The Idea Teen Boys Golf set features the correct length, grip size, shaft flex, and weight that will allow teen golfers to take their game to the next level. The set includes a Speedline Driver and Fairway wood, an A7 Hybrid, 6-iron through the sand wedge, an A7 putter, and a hybrid stand bag that weighs in under 4 pounds. We just got these sets in at our shop and so far the response has been very good. They set up and feel like a miniature A7 OS iron and feature many of the same attributes. If your teenage boy is in the market for a new set, the Adams Idea Teen Boys set should be your go to choice!
