Tour Striker Swing Trainer

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

Check out the new Tour Striker Swing Trainer!  We just got these in and I after spending a little time in our practice area, I was already noticing the benefits of this swing trainer.  The Tour Striker is designed to teach golfers how to properly hit down on the ball at impact.  The leading edge of the Tour Striker is rounded and the face is located high up on that curve, forcing you to deliver the club with a descending motion in order to make contact with the ball.  The Tour Striker features a cast stainless head and comes stock with a light weight regular flex steel shaft.  Of all the new training aids on the market this year, I think the Tour Striker may be the best!

Taylormade Ghost Tour Daytona Putter

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

The 2nd generation of Ghost Putters are here!  Taylormade has re-designed their popular Ghost putters this season and not only did they drop the Rossa name, they changed the AGSI insert for a new surlyn Pure Roll insert that is slight firmer and promotes a truer roll.  The Ghost Tour Daytona is a classic heel-toe weighted blade and like all Taylormade products, it sets up wonderful behind the ball.  I’ll have to admit that I was a bit skeptical of the white finish, but I have grown immune to it after the R11 and Burner Superfast 2.0 release and I actually like it now!  The Taylormade Ghost Tour Daytona putters are in stock and ready to ship!!!

Taylormade EST 79 Classic Maranello Putter

Monday, March 28th, 2011

For those looking for a quality putter at a lower price point, I would definitely check out the new Taylormade Est. 79 Classic Putters.  The Est. 79 Classic Maranello is a heel shafted, flanged blade putter that helps promote a true in-to-in putting stroke.  This classic putter design has been used by a wide variety of touring professionals and top amateurs because of the classic look and the responsive feel.  For the most part, Taylormade’s take on this design is pretty good and I find that the newly patented Pure Roll surlyn insert feels great at impact and gets the ball rolling on the correct path with very little skid or drag.  My only complaints would be the boring finish and a lack of weight in the head.  However, when it comes to performance, this putter over-delivers, especially for the price!

Taylormade Corza Ghost Putter

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

The design of the new Taylormade Corza Ghost Putter is simple: Create a putter that is super easy to square up to the intended line.  Engineers at Taylormade took that notion and created one of the most talked about and sought after putters on the market today!  By working closely with experts in the field of color, Taylormade designed a putter that helps alleviate the strain on your eyes when looking at the top line.  The color white is said to have a calming effect on the nervous system that helps inspire confidence where golfers need it most. Besides being a moral boost for that swinging downhill ten-footer, the Ghost finish compliments the golf ball and stands out against the bright green grass which allows golfers to better see the line and whether they are square to it or not.   For additional help with alignment, the two outer black top lines are the exact width of a golf ball and the center line is in the exact middle making it way easier to see where the face is aiming.  Simply square up the ball within those lines and you ready to roll.  The elevated crown flows seamlessly with the top of the putter face giving the top line even more definition.  As if the three black top lines were not enough, the Corza Ghost also has a circular hole at the rear of the putter head that works harmoniously with the three alignment aids.  This hole is the exact size of a golf ball and creates a vivid secondary alignment aid that gives golfers the confidence that their aim is true to the target.  As with all putters in the Ghost lineup, The Corza Ghost features Taylormade’s patented AGSI+ Titallium insert for a truer roll and near perfect sound and feel.  The Taylormade Corza Ghost Putter is available now and qualifies for FREE UPS GROUND shipping!

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

Mizuno’s Aerolite X Stand Bag was very popular last season and we expect the new Aerolite X bags to do even better.  With bolder colors and designs, the new Aerolite X will definitely appeal to the style savvy golfer or for those that just want some attention when they arrive to the first tee.  Besides the bright colors and hypnotic patterns, the Aerolite X features Mizuno’s patented Kubuki orananizer top cuff with divide and slide technology which uses the natural weight of the heads to separate clubs for easy and quick access during play.  Other handy features include Mizuno’s Aerostrap for carrying comfort, an Air Flow Hip Pad for improved air flow between your hip and the golf bag, and a waterproof rain hood to keep your clubs dry in adverse conditions.  The 2011 Aerolite X stand bag comes in four unique color patterns and is available to ship now!!!

Tour Edge Exotics CB4 Tour Fairway Wood

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

The new CB4 Tour Fairway Wood is the 4th generation of the Exotics Fairway wood line and this may be their best effort yet.  I still play the CB2 and it would take an awful lot to get that club out of my bag, however after taking a few swings with the new CB4 that may change.  When compared to the previous Exotics models, the CB4 sports a new dark black finish that inspires confidence at address.  The combination of a 15-3 titanium cup face with a heavier hyper steel body eliminates any unnecessary weight from the face of the club that is then shifted to the rear skirt and sole for a deep center of gravity resulting in explosive distance and a penetrating ball flight.  The CB4 Tour Fairway wood comes stock with the premium Aldila RIP graphite shaft which offers low torque and a stiff tip for increased control and stability.  The CB4 Tour is available in lofts ranging from 13* to 18* of loft and is available to ship now!!!

Adams Idea Teen Girls Golf Set

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

At our shop, we often have trouble finding the perfect set for teenage golfers.  Junior sets are generally too small and contain too few clubs and most kids do not fit a full size set either.  So this year, Adams decided to fill that gap with the Idea Teen Golf sets.  The sets are available for both boys and girls and are specifically designed to meet the demands of today’s younger players.  The Idea Teen Girls Golf set features the correct length, grip size, shaft flex, and weight that will allow teen golfers to take their game to the next level.  The set includes a Speedline Driver and Fairway wood, an A7 Hybrid, 6-iron through the sand wedge, an A7 putter, and a hybrid stand bag  that weighs in under 4 pounds.  We are very excited about the Adams Idea Teen Golf Sets and we expect them to do very well this year!

Heavy Putter Heavy Hybrid

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

After having success with the Heavy Wedge, Heavy Putter decided it was time to release a full line of clubs with Heavy technology.  The new Heavy Hybrid is for those who want greater control and consistency.  The Heavy Hybrid features a 50 gram weight in the butt of the club as well as an 85 gram Aldila NVS Hybrid shaft.  The back weighting produces a counter balancing effect so the golfer will feel more weight towards the grip and less weight towards the head of the club and the Aldila NVS promotes a tight, high-launching trajectory with moderate spin.  The Heavy Hybrid is also quite forgiving and the stainless steel face provides excellent feel and distance.  Order your new Heavy Putter Heavy Hybrid from Budget Golf today!
