Designed by master club designer, Ozwaldo Gonzalez, the new Cobra S3 Max Driver will definitely turn some heads. This is the first club release since Puma took over late last year and this driver is proof that they are taking the company in a younger, more athletic direction. The S3 Max is designed for the high-handicap player that could use some extra help from the tee. The new crown design not only increased the MOI (moment of inertia) but the shape also helps with alignment. Newly patented E9 Face Technology expands the sweet spot by an astonishing 30%. Combine that with a slightly offset, over-sized head and you have a very forgiving and long driver off of the tee. This titanium driver is offered in 9.5, 10.5, and 11.5 degrees of loft and the shaft is offered in flexes ranging from senior to stiff. If you want forgiveness, style, and performance in one affordable package, check out the new Cobra S3 Max Driver. Order your new S3 Max from Budget Golf for a mid-February delivery date!!!

The Cobra S3 Driver is the latest high performance driver from Cobra and it is the first new club that has been released under the Puma ownership. I didn’t really know what to expect this year since Puma is not really a golf company with the exception of their clothing and shoe line. I was able to check out the S3 Driver last week and I was pleasantly surprised. The driver sets up well and the new sole design fits the athletic image that Cobra has been trying to capture the last few years. Cobra carried over most of the technology featured in the previous model however the face of the S3 features Cobra’s new E9 Face Technology which results in a 30% larger sweet zone. Like the S2, the S3 is fully adjustable for accuracy and improved flight conditions. The S3 Driver is available in lofts ranging from 8.5* to 11.5* and the club is offered in a wide variety of shaft flexes to suit your needs. Pre-order the new Cobra S3 Driver from Budget Golf today for a mid-February delivery!

Given the success of the Ghost putters, Taylormade decided to give the white driver a go in 2011. The new R11 features a ghost white crown as does the new Burner Superfast 2.o. So far, the response has been overwhelming and after reviewing pictures from this week’s Sony Open, the tour players are fond of the new color scheme as well. The white crown is resistant to glare and when it is paired with the black face, you have a driver that is extremely easy to align. White crown aside, the Burner Superfast also features many new technological advancements when compared to the previous model. For starters, the Superfast 2.o weighs in at a mere 279 grams making it the lightest driver currently on the market. A new head shape with Taylormade’s patented Inverted Cone Technology creates the largest sweet spot of any Taylormade Driver made to date. Pre-order your new driver today for a Mid-February ship date!!!

I have a feeling that 2011 will be a big year for Callaway. The new Diablo Octane Driver is getting excellent reviews and the new RAZR line looks stunning, although to be honest, I am still not convinced on the “RAZR” name. However, performance is what matters right? So despite the name, the new RAZR X Hybrid looks like a winner. This hybrid features Callaway’s new Zero Roll Design which helps the average golf hit high and long approach shots regardless of where they strike the ball on the club face. If your common mis-hit is low on the face, the RAZR X is for you! An aggressive VFT (variable face thickness) face design increases ball speeds across the entire hitting surface resulting in greater distance even on mis-strikes. Moderate offset helps square the face at impact while still maintaining a clean look at address. If you are on the fence about purchasing a new hybrid, the RAZR X is a 30-Day Test Drive product which allows you to return the club for an online credit within 30 days of the purchase date if the club does not meet your expectations.
Nike is getting ready to launch the new Victory Red series and I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the entire lineup last week. The driver is stunning and I was equally impressed with the new VR PRO Fairway Wood. The VR PRO is a revised version of last year’s Victory Red Fairway Wood and although they may look fairly similar, the performance of the VR PRO is above and beyond the previous model. A new Variable Compression Channel gives golfers increased carry yardage off of the tee and delivers a powerful feel at impact. This new version also includes Nike’s patented Str8t-FIT technology which provides 32 options to personalize your club face angle for a customized fit. The VR PRO comes stock with the premium Project X graphite shaft and the club is offered in lofts ranging from 13* to 19* of loft. Pre-order your new Nike fairway wood today!

The new Nike VR Pro driver is the latest installment to the growing Victory Red product line introduced by Nike in late 2009. The VR PRO is a refined version of last year’s Victory Red Tour Driver and it is loaded with options that give advanced players increased carry yardage as well as tour-level control. Although the VR PRO is similar in looks to the previous model, the design of the sole is dramatically different and features Nike’s newly patented Variable Compression Channel which delivers more speed and power at impact across the entire hitting surface. This results in greater carry yardage, increased feel, and more forgiveness regardless of the intended shot. The VR PRO also features the latest version of Nike’s patented Str8-Fit technology which provides over 32 options to personalize the club face angle to perfect your shot shape. For optimal launch and control, the VR PRO is equipped with the tour-proven Project-X graphite shaft and it is offered in flexes ranging from 5.0 (regular) to 6.5 (extra-stiff). We are expecting the demand for this driver to be quite high so we are taking pre-orders for a mid-February delivery date.
