Datrek Falcon Cart Bag

Monday, May 31st, 2010

It looks like Datrek has finally dropped their “old man” image and have finally released a striking collection of golf bags that are sportier looking while still delivering the performance features that golfers have come to expect from Datrek.  For years, Datrek has made traditional golf bags out of great materials however they always seemed to lack the pizazz of other bags on the market.  Well, that is certainly not the case anymore.  In a move to compete with other golf bag companies such as Ozio, Datrek has revamped their lineup with bold designs and flashier colors.  The new Falcon cart bag is a hot bag with a price that will not empty out your wallet. Datrek Osprey Stand Bag

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Want something sleek, stylish, and comfortable with the same functionality of a full size stand bag?  If so, I definitely suggest giving the Datrek Osprey Stand Bag a look.  I never thought I would say that as I have bad memories of old heavy Datrek bags from my past caddying days, but these new bags for 2010 are very nice.  The Osprey bag is the lightest bag they have to offer and features an 8″ four-way top with full-length dividers. Adidas Climacool Color Block Polo

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

A heat spell has hit the Midwest this week and my old cotton golf shirts are definitely not cutting it.  Of all the new shirts that have come through the shop this month, I have to say I am the most impressed by the new Adidas Climacool shirts.  I picked up a few Climacool Color Block Polo shirts and I had the opportunity to wear one this past weekend.   At first glance, they are nothing special but upon examining the build quality and the technology behind them, they are nothing short of amazing. Loudmouth Raspberry Surebet Skorts

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Finally, Loudmouth has released something for the ladies!  The new Loudmouth Skorts are long over-do and I am glad to see that they are expanding their clothing line.  Of all the flashy designs in this line, I think I like the Raspberry Surebet skorts the best.  I will tell you one thing, it is a “Surebett” that you will be noticed.  The contrasting yellow, orange, pink color definitely pop, screaming 70′s vintage fun! Golf Buddy World Platinum GPS

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

For years now, the Golf Buddy GPS units have been our best selling GPS units and I do not expect that to change anytime soon, especially with the release of the Golf Buddy World Platinum GPS.  The World Platinum GPS still has the easy to use functionality of the original Golf Buddy units but some serious upgrades make this unit a fair contender to some of the most advanced units on the market, namely the Callaway Upro.  The World Platinum GPS has a 40,000 course storage capability allowing golfers to access golf courses from the around the world at the touch of a button, NO downloading required! Heavy Putter Lite Weight M4 Putter

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

I just love the new Heavy Putter Lite Weight Putter Series and so far my favorite putter of the bunch is the Lite Weight M4 Putter.  The Lite-Weight M4 is designed after the famous Wilson 8802 and features the familiar blade shape with tow droop and half shaft offset. This mid-weight, 600 gram putter is CNC milled for accuracy and comes in two striking finishes, a black PVD and or satin finish. Each putter uses a proprietary shaft with a 65 gram weight installed in the butt end of the putter. (more…)

Cobra Baffler Rail F Fairway Wood

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Just because Cobra is now owned by Puma doesn’t mean they are done releasing new equipment this year!  Cobra claims that their new Baffler Rail F Fairway Wood is the best fairway metal they have made to date.  Cobra designed this club a bit different than other fairways on the market.  This new unique over-sized head with a very shallow face results in a very forgiving club that launches the ball easily in the air from both the fairway and rough.  The four-way rail sole design reduces the ground to club contact resulting in less turf resistance for better, more consistent contact. Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Heavy Putter has been making great strides in improving their brand and have created a wonderful niche for themselves in a highly competitive golf market.  Their new putter and wedge line for 2010 is highly impressive and of all the new putter models, I just love the new Mid-Weight K4 Putter.  The Mid-Weight K4 is designed after the famous Ping Pal putter and features the familiar blade shape with a slant neck hosel and half shaft offset. This mid-weight, 750 gram putter is CNC milled for accuracy and comes in two striking finishes, a black PVD and or satin finish.
