Advancing hybrid design, a new aerodynamic head design featuring a more radiused sole allows the XCG-4 to have a larger effective hitting surface to produce one of the best-performing hybrids available.

The XCG-4 delivers exceptional performance compliments of a robust design that includes a maraging steel cup face and crown that is welded to a heavier tungsten sole. Exotics engineers chose maraging steel over stainless steel because it possesses superior strength and toughness without losing malleability. What’s more, the lightweight ultra-thin maraging steel cup face and crown launch the ball with less spin and faster speed than stainless steel.

Weight placement is critical in creating Exotics-caliber performance. The majority of the hybrid’s weight is in the rear heel and toe of the tungsten sole. This set up is achieved by the heavy 133-gram tungsten sole plate. By shifting more weight below the ball, the resulting center of gravity is extremely deep, helping the club face square at impact with more force for a quick launch and longer, more accurate shots.

For an even more pure energy transfer at impact, two internal weight pads improve sound, feel, and the center of gravity location. The result is a low spin rate and perfect launch angle that gets shots up quick and lands them softly next to the pin.
